Pages represent the community aspect of a class, a team or a club at school. Pages are owned by teachers and other school members and are essential for organizing the content shared in Vidigami.
Users are invited to Pages. Generally, all members of the school community are invited to all Pages - from Maker’s Club, to Varsity Basketball to Performing Arts, from PreK to Graduation. To personalize the stories in your Feed, Users may Unfollow Pages that are not relevant. By the time Users graduate, the fun things happening on the playground may no longer be relevant.
This doesn’t mean you can’t check out special events that may be happening with groups you’re not following. At any time, you may visit the Explore tab and click into a Page to see all the content. Explore is designed to be your school’s living media library; visually documenting the school experience for your entire community.
Below, you'll find the "Football" page as an example:
If you follow a page this means you will be able to:
- Get notifications for activity on the page
- See page activity on the feeds
Depending on permissions, users will also be able to:
- Share content with other followers via posts
- Post media related to an event hosted on the page
“My Pages” contains a list of the pages within categories “followed” by the user.
This content is displayed in the main feed. To “unfollow” a page, simply click on the “Following” tab to remove that page’s content from your feed.
To find that page again and re-follow the page, users will have to find it within the “Explore” tab.
The “Explore” tab allows users to view all of the pages that are available to view according to their user role. These are sorted by category and pages within those categories. To have the content appear on the user’s main feed, click “Follow.” The page’s contents will then appear on the “Feeds” tab and the page will show up under “My Pages.”
Clicking "follow" will display this activity on your personal feed.
