You might have seen and used a number of apps that give you the option to login via one of your existing accounts.
If you have yet to activate your Vidigami account and are logging into the system for the first time, you can now choose to do so using Facebook, Google or Microsoft. This process (called social sign on) is a simpler way to access an application using the credentials (login name and password) for platforms you may be using everyday.
Why use Social Sign-On in Vidigami?
Your Facebook/Google/Microsoft and Vidigami accounts can now be linked, making it easier and quicker for you to login. If you prefer to use a specific platform (e.g. Google) to sign in, you will not need to create a separate account for Vidigami.
Using more than one account
For each new user who activates their account, Vidigami can only connect with one other external platform. That means, if you choose to login for the first time using Facebook, for example, you will not be able to login with the other 2 options, but you will be able to unlink your account with Facebook. The same action applies for whichever account you choose. We recommend choosing the platform you use on the most regular basis.
Already using Vidigami?
You can link your existing Vidigami account with your preferred social platform by simply clicking on your school name and navigating to your “My Account” page located on the top right corner of the site. Once you’ve clicked “My Account” you will see options toward the bottom of the page to connect Google, Facebook, or Microsoft. One you go through the process of signing into that social account, you should be all set to login to Vidigami using Social Sign On going forward.
Common FAQs
1 - How do I activate my account through social login?
To activate your Vidigami account using your desired social account (Facebook, Google or Microsoft), all you need to do is accept the invitation to Vidigami and choose to continue. Please note: if you are invited to a second organization, please continue to use your registered Login account or activate your second account with Vidigami. We are unable to support the merge of 2 seperate SSO registered accounts.
2 - Do I have to use my social login to access Vidigami?
No, using your social account is entirely optional. You can still access Vidigami by creating a separate account and only use your Vidigami credentials.
3 - Can I log in to Vidigami with a different social account from the one I selected when I started?
No, you are not able to login in with a different Social Sign On ei: Created an account with Google but tries to log in with Microsoft. You will not be identified, however, you can also log in with Vidigami with your vidigami credentials (Email, Password), to set it up, simply need to reset your password
4 - I want to disconnect Vidigami from my social account. How do I disconnect?
- For Facebook, Log in to you facebook account, go to “Settings” then select “Apps and websites”(facebook.com/settings?tab=applications), in the “active” section, select the Vidigami app and select “Remove”.
- For Google, Log in to your google account, go to “myaccount.google.com/permissions”, then select Vidigami and select “Remove”.
- For Microsoft, Log in to you microsoft account, go to account.microsoft.com/privacy/ or account.live.com/consent/Manage > scroll to the bottom in the “Other privacy settings” section, then select “Apps and services”. Select “Vidigami” then select “Remove these permissions”.
5 - What if I use a shared computer and someone else is logged in to Facebook, Google or microsoft when I want to activate my Vidigami account?
You will need to ensure that you logout of Facebook, Google/Gmail and Microsoft on your web browser before you choose to activate with any one of the available social accounts.
