Create a Collection
Collections are a way users can take content from different sources in Vidigami into one location called Collections. To get to your collections, click on the sidebar and your name.
This will take you to all of your collections, as seen here.
Click on “Show all” to expand to see all of your personal (My Collections) and shared collections.
“My Collections” is where you will find all your personal collections that only you can see and interact with.
As soon as you share a collection with someone else, or you join an invitation to another user’s collection, you will find these within “Shared Collections.”
Here you can see if a collection is:
Shared to a Page (the page icon is displayed)
Shared with other Users (the people icon is displayed)
Whether the page is public (the globe icon is displayed).
Creating and Sharing Slideshows
Your Collections can be created for personal use, to be shared with members within the school or you may publish them as a slideshow for public access. See Collections to learn more.
FOR USERS migrating from V2 to V3: All your personal sets are migrated to your Portfolio as personal collections or My Collections. All your group sets have been migrated to your Portfolio as Shared Collections.
Creating a Slideshow
Administrators and Managers can share a Group set by selecting the "Share” button.
The share button offers the following options:
- Share Link to Page
The first URL generated is a Share Link to Page that takes users to the Page as it appears in Vidigami. Depending on the Group’s Privacy Settings, this HTML link can only be opened by registered members of the current School Year and/or the members of the group.
- Share Slideshow Outside Vidigami
Selecting the "Share Slideshow Outside Vidigami" checkbox prompts the user to accept the End User Agreement.
This will generate a new HTML link to Share Slideshow Outside Vidigami. All content within the Group Set will be displayed as a dynamic slideshow that is viewable by anyone outside Vidigami and restricting the download of any displayed content.
The "Show Embed Code" icon adjacent to the social media sharing options within the same "Share Set" window, Vidigami will generate an additional Embed Slideshow code that can be inserted into any iframe code block.
This is used for embedding slideshows to web pages, blog posts, digital signage software, and other platforms.
A slideshow will appear as displayed below wh the Share Link is selected, or, when embedded on a page.
