When users first log in, they will land on the homepage, which contains 3 essential sections:
- Feeds and Pages
The sidebar has three sections.
- School Page (Click this to see the main feed)
- Personal Page and Relationships (For Parents)
- Recent Pages
Parents associated with one or more students will see the students' pages in their sidebar (see Assign Relationships). Staff members who are also parents will also have this sidebar.
All users will see the pages they have recently visited under “Recent Pages.”
Feeds display activities relevant to the user, the pages to which they belong and their relationships. All activity is displayed on a single page, with the most recent content at the top. Users may scroll down to navigate the page and see more content on their feed.
“My Pages” contains a list of the pages within categories “followed” by the user. This content is displayed in the main feed. To “unfollow” a page, simply click on the “Following” tab to remove that page’s content from your feed.
To find that page again and re-follow the page, users will have to find it within the “Explore” tab.
If you follow a page this means you will be able to:
- Get notifications for activity on the page
- See page activity on the feeds
- Share content with other followers via posts (see permissions)
- Post media related to an event hosted on the page
The “Explore” tab allows users to view all of the pages that are available to view according to their user role. These are sorted by category and pages within those categories. To have the content appear on the user’s main feed, click “Follow.” The page’s contents will then appear on the “Feeds” tab and the page will show up under “My Pages.”
Events (Coming Soon)
Events are calendar-based resources that can be used to notify the page followers of upcoming occasions. Clicking on “see all” allows you to see past events as well as upcoming events.
Events are directly linked to and can’t exist without pages.
You can post media that is specific to an event by clicking on the “upload” button of an event.
On the Event card “Explore” allows you to filter the posts on the page by the event.
